Looking into the World of Online Videos for Marketing & Recruiting…and other stuff.
This is a short video (about 2 minutes) in which Ann McIntosh speaks about what she can do for you and what to expect in therapy. In this video you can get a sense of her office and her personality. As counseling and therapy is so personal, this allows perspective patients to get a feel for her. “Does she seem like someone I could go to” – will be the question answered by those seeking her type of services.
This video is WAY too long. I have never found myself checking the time meter so much waiting for the end…this video just doesn’t engage. This at least should have been multiple videos. This video tried to be all things to all people and answer all questions…it is too much.
The below video is a company overview and marketing video. It is short (1:30)…and it is engaging…so it is very likely to be seen to the end by viewers. It does a pretty good job at saying who they are and how it can help a company advertise in retail stores. I can only fault it by being too much a TV commercial.
ArcheryCountry.com sells bows and all related equipment for targets and hunting online. This short 2 minute 41 second film was filmed in one of their back rooms. The speaker was not a professional…which makes the video better. This guy looks like one of the staff…so if I go to their location in Waite Park, MN – I will get to see him and other (now assumed) knowledgable staff.
I would say this video give a nice peek into the company. So, even recruiting and staffing firms can use video on their websites.
A blog written by a Minnesota Recruiter and Video Producer about marketing, social media, online video production, recruiting, and some about what I'm doing in life. Professionally, I am very interested in online videos for businesses marketing their products & services, and videos for recruiting for their open positions.
